Our Customer Policies

Mission Statement

Our goal and policy is to treat our clients with respect and care, and to treat our clients' pets as though they were our own. Our clients and patients are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here. At all times you will be treated with respect, dignity and compassion. Being of service to you is the mission of our practice.

Appointments

Please call ahead for an appointment.  Veterinary availability may be limited even during regular business hours, and same-day or urgent care cannot be guaranteed. If you believe your animal needs care sooner than we can provide it, please act in your animal's best interest by seeking timely care from another available veterinary provider. Do not wait for a return call or future appointment if the condition appears urgent or is worsening.

For everyone's safety, we ask that dogs be on a leash and cats be in a carrier. If you forgot your leash, please come in first and we can loan you one for your visit.

Remote Communications

Telephone calls, voicemails, text messages, emails, photographs, and online messages cannot replace a veterinary examination. Sending a message does not mean it has been received, reviewed by a veterinarian, or accepted as a request for medical care.  Remote communications are NOT continuously monitored and should not be used for urgent or emergent care needs.

Payment

We require payment in full at time of services. We accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, travelers checks and money orders.

We also accept CareCredit as a form of payment. Clients are strongly encouraged to apply, confirm approval, and verify available credit prior to arriving. CareCredit approval and available funds are determined by CareCredit, not the clinic. As payment is due when services are provided, clients should have another payment option available if CareCredit is delayed, insufficient, or declined.

We do not accept insurance or cryptocurrency.

Please call the clinic for estimates and further inquiries regarding pricing and payment.

Owner Responsibility

Animal owners are responsible for monitoring their animals, contacting a veterinary provider promptly, and arranging timely alternative care when our  clinic is unavailable or unable to provide care within the timeframe needed.

Referral Information

Referral information is provided as a courtesy.  Availability, acceptance, services, travel distance, and fees are determined by the receiving facility and cannot be guaranteed by Cheyenne River Animal Hospital.
